Marriott’s September activity ranged from an all-inclusive JW Marriott opening in Costa Rica to the South Korean debut of Series by Marriott and substantial future projects in Türkiye and New Zealand.
Unless stated otherwise, the hotels featured below are expected to fully participate in Marriott Bonvoy.
Newly opened hotels
JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort & Spa, All-Inclusive, Costa Rica
Opened: 30 September 2026. This beachfront resort in Guanacaste combines ocean-view accommodation, extensive dining, Spa by JW, family facilities and the more exclusive Griffin Club experience.

Anook Signature Seoul Guro, Series by Marriott, South Korea
Opened: 30 September 2026. The 104-room, 17-storey hotel brought Series by Marriott to South Korea, with a restaurant, rooftop lounge, terrace, sauna, fitness centre and business facilities in Seoul’s Guro district. Three further South Korean Series by Marriott properties are expected to follow by the end of 2026.

Newly announced and significant upcoming hotels
The Ritz-Carlton, Kemer, All-Inclusive, Türkiye
Expected opening: 2028. Marriott and Özak GYO have agreed to develop a 141-room-and-suite resort on more than 1.2 kilometres of coastline in Kemer, Antalya. Plans include one- to five-bedroom villas, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, kids’ club and a sports centre with tennis and padel. It is set to be Marriott’s first luxury all-inclusive resort in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Three Marriott Bonvoy hotels in New Zealand
Marriott also signed a three-hotel agreement with CP Group. Rotorua Marriott Hotel is planned for late 2027 after conversion of Arawa Park Hotel; the 82-room The Official Auckland, Autograph Collection is expected in 2028; and the 118-room Fable Wellington, Autograph Collection is slated for 2029. Together they add 335 rooms and introduce Marriott Hotels to Rotorua and Autograph Collection to New Zealand.
