September brought two notable Crowne Plaza openings and several significant additions to IHG’s future pipeline. This month’s update covers the most notable new openings and newly announced hotels across the IHG portfolio.
Unless stated otherwise, the hotels featured below are expected to fully participate in IHG One Rewards.
Newly opened hotels
Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square, New York
Opened: 2 September 2026. IHG has reopened the 22-storey Times Square landmark as the Americas flagship for Crowne Plaza. The hotel has 685 city-view rooms, the Fifty-First Street Social bar and restaurant, flexible work and meeting areas, a Manhattan Level and a Broadway Suite with a 22nd-floor terrace.

Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée, France
Opened: 24 September 2026. The 250-room hotel occupies 2.5 hectares at Magny-le-Hongre, with many rooms overlooking Golf Paris Val d’Europe. Facilities include an indoor heated pool, spa, gym, yoga and Pilates space, three dining venues and 1,500 square metres of events space. A complimentary shuttle connects guests with Marne-la-Vallée Chessy and the area’s theme parks. Outdoor leisure additions, including padel courts, are due later in 2026, with an outdoor pool and bar planned for spring 2027.

Newly announced and significant upcoming hotels
Kimpton Rome, Italy
Expected opening: 2029. Announced on 30 September, the project will bring Kimpton to Rome through the redevelopment of a property on Via Sicilia. It will become IHG’s ninth hotel in Rome and adds another luxury and lifestyle option for IHG One Rewards members in the Italian capital.

Noted Collection, Shinjuku, Tokyo
Expected opening: 2027. IHG announced its first Noted Collection signings in Japan on 28 September. The Shinjuku project is a 207-room conversion in Kabukicho and is expected to become the first of the two to open. A second, new-build Noted Collection hotel in Ginza is scheduled for 2029.
